This Service Agreement intends to facilitate the accomplishment of the following objective: - Conduct phase one of the implementations towards improving the control of malaria in areas of mainland Tanzania where malaria transmission is high and where most malaria deaths occur in children aged < 5 years. Determining the effectiveness of intermittent Preventive Treatment for Malaria in infants in extended high transmission settings of mainland Tanzania is one of the new interventions of the Ministry of Hearth, community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC) through the National Malaria control programme (NMCP) under the Supplementary Malaria Strategic plan (2018 _ 2O2O). Thus, NMCP proposes to undertake phase of the implementation to obtain enough evidence to improve the control of malaria in areas of mainland Tanzania where malaria transmission is high and where most malaria deaths occur in children aged < 5 years. Implementation of this activity will be guided by the developed and agreed field protocol by both Parties.
